Hello
My name is Will Dockter, and I am a Lighting Designer, Technician, & Stagehand originally from Diamond Springs, California who is now located in Ashland, Oregon. I am currently studying Theatrical Lighting at Southern Oregon University. Working with lights is what I want to do with the rest of my life, and I couldn't imagine where I would be without it.
My Philosophy
I have worked with everyone from highschoolers to established industry professionals, and in that time I have learned that no two rooms are the same. I always do my best to treat those around me with the respect and kindness that they deserve. Readjusting how I interact with my peers and colleagues and bosses every time that I start a new project is crucial to my success.
How I Work
As a designer, the main ways I approach my designs are in color and movement. I strive to match the feelings and emotions of a piece with my color choices, and match the energies I am being given with movement. However, I am always interested in approaching my work from a different perspective.
